An injured tombstoner has been taken to hospital after he attempted to jump into the water at Charlestown Harbour when the tide was out. St Austell Coastguard, Cornwall Air Ambulance and the ambulance service were all called to the incident yesterday (July 8).
The tombstoner suffered injuries after he jumped into the shallow water. He was later taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
St Austell Coastguard is urging anybody who wants to enter the water to always check the depth, stating that this incident occurred due to the water not being deep enough.
