Scarisbrick Marina on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal is home to hoards of colourful boats and barges, but it’s a little brown building with a grey roof firmly on land, that really floats visitors’ proverbial boats. The Tearoom is housed inside the marina’s single-storey hut-style building.

Step inside and sit on one of the traditional wooden inn-style booth benches under the thick beams and low ceiling and marvel at the quirky interior. It is bursting with wholesome character, with vintage metal trinkets, candle lanterns and miniature bird houses hanging from the beams and walls and sweet jars…
