Mr Nguyen testified that Downer project manager Laura Inglis had emailed him on November 6 regarding dates for a charter with Sydney Boat Hire for about 40 Downer staff who worked on rail contracts for Transport for NSW.
Mr Nguyen said former Downer project manager Andrew Gayed, who had been copied in on the email, also raised the matter with him in person.
