Sudden end in $3.3m double lagoon drowning case

There has been a sudden twist in the multimillion dollar lawsuit over the tragic deaths of a father and son against a regional council and the company it used to run lifeguard services.

Chinese widower Jie Tan has discontinued matters against Whitsunday Regional Council and EllMill Enterprises Pty Ltd 14 months after she filed her initial $4.3m lawsuit over the deaths.
