Several boats damaged after sudden fire in Swansea Marina

Several boats were damaged after a fire spread from a boat in the Pocket’s Wharf area of Swansea Marina. The incident took place at 11.43am on Monday, May 29, with thick, black, smoke seen billowing into the sky before the fire was extinguished by the fire service.

Two people were on board the small boat that caught fire, but they were “able to step off uninjured.” However, it had spread to a neighbouring boat and several others have suffered heat damage. Swansea Council confirmed that the cause of the fire is being investigated.
