Pensacola opened a new day Marina at Community Maritime Park for boaters to dock downtown just ahead of the Memorial Day weekend.
The new marina, dubbed Pensacola Bay Pier, officially opened at 6 a.m. Thursday.
The new marina has 48 boat slips with most slips limited to boats 27 feet long or smaller. The marina also features kayak launch docks and storage racks, as well as a fishing weigh station.
