Over-height truck blocks Sydney Harbour Tunnel lane in peak hour traffic

An oversized truck has caused traffic delays by blocking the entrance to the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.

Sensors on the southbound lanes of the Warringah Freeway were triggered at 7.48 this morning on the approach to the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.

The truck was told to reverse and move into the slip lane by Traffic and Highway patrol officers, who were called to the scene.

It is not clear how many lanes were impacted, but it is understood that at least one was closed.

All lanes were reopened at 8.11am.
