CEBU, Philippines — The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA)-7 yesterday suspended the passenger ship safety certificate of MV Esperanza Star, which caught fire early Sunday morning while it was on its way to Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The ferry, owned by Kho Shipping Lines, was carrying 75 passengers and 55 crew members, including the ship captain, when a fire broke out.
No one was injured nor perished in the sea mishap.
