An off duty nurse was among the first on scene of a horror head-on collision that has blocked a major Whitsunday thoroughfare. LATEST.

A cement truck and a smaller vehicle collided along Shute Harbour Rd at Mount Julian about 7.15am on Tuesday with five police crews and up to six fire crews called to the scene.
