Highway ramp closure to impact thousands

There are fears north shore streets could be turned into congested rat runs when one of the region’s busiest highway on-ramps is closed to traffic using the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Community members have raised fresh concerns over plans by Transport for NSW to close both the southbound and northbound on-ramps connecting Ernest St to the Warringah Freeway.

The upcoming closures are part of ongoing construction works on the Western harbour Tunnel and will result in thousands of motorists having to use alternative routes each day.
