Whitsunday ‘fur kids’ could soon get a new playground, with the council to vote on whether to let them frolic and swim off leash at a popular tourist spot.
Councillor Jan Clifford delivered the motion after hearing pleas from her fellow dog-owners about their wish to frolic free in the morning off leash.
If the motion gets up, dogs will be able to swim and play at an off leash section of the beach for a six-month trial period.
