Designs for Harbour Park in Barangaroo revealed

Designs for a new First Nations-led park in the heart of Sydney have been revealed after a word-wide design competition was held.

The empty concrete slab will be transformed into a ”regenerated natural retreat” called Harbour Park at the headland of Barangaroo Reserve, to compliment the 14 kilometre walk from Glebe to Woolloomooloo.

The winning design by AKIN will have 1.85 hectares of open space and will allow “nature play for all ages and abilities”, a lawn space for hosting events with up to 6000 people and public art.
