Bail denied after ‘very serious’ alleged assaults on nurses

A Coffs Harbour woman who allegedly had a “reaction” to a medical procedure and attacked two Mid-North Coast nurses will remain in custody for now. Here’s what happened in court.

Jessica Ellen McMahon, 24, was handcuffed when she appeared in the dock at Coffs harbour Local Court on Wednesday, facing two charges of common assault.

No pleas have been entered.

The court heard McMahon was on two sets of bail at the time of the alleged offending at a hospital in Port Macquarie on Monday.
