Another Harbour Tunnel blockage brings Sydney’s over-height truck incidents to 53

A third over-height truck has blocked the Sydney Harbour Tunnel in two days.

Today’s incident caused a 20-minute delay as the vehicle was made to reverse and move into the slip lane at about 1pm, while yesterday morning and afternoon peak hour copped traffic chaos following two separate incidents.

NSW Premier Chris Minns is looking to introduce new penalties to “send a message” to drivers, owners and logistics companies as he told 2GB’s Ray Hadley there had already been 53 incidents involving over-height trucks in Sydney this year.
