A boat worth more than $100,000 has been stolen from a Queensland Marina by thieves who cut through a barbed wire fence before towing the vessel away.
Key points:
- Police believe the thieves spent time planning the theft, because the boat was not the easiest to access
- The culprits cut through a high fence and knocked a post over while getting inside
- They say the owner of the boat is “very disappointed” at losing his “prized possession”
The 250-horsepower, 6.8-metre aluminium boat and its trailer were taken from a secure facility at Mooloolaba marina late on Sunday night.
